Getting here
Our operation sits in Porto Jofre, where the Piquiri meets the São Lourenço, in the northern Pantanal. You can arrive by plane, by car or by river, and our team meets you at the boarding point.
By air
From Marechal Rondon Airport, in Várzea Grande, a twin-engine plane crosses the floodplain to the Porto Jofre airstrip. It is the shortest route and the only one that shows the whole Pantanal from above, rivers curving across the wetland.

By road
From Cuiabá it is about 100 km of paved road on the BR-070 to Poconé. There the Transpantaneira begins: 145 km of dirt road and dozens of wooden bridges down to Porto Jofre. In the dry season, from July to October, caimans, capybaras, birds and even jaguars show up along the way.

By river
If you would rather arrive on the water, you board at Porto Cercado and follow the Cuiabá river down to our base in Porto Jofre. The crossing is already part of the trip: living riverbanks, birds fishing and a real chance of spotting a jaguar.
